The birds shown in this collection were photographed in Stanley Park, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
The format was a bit of an experiment for 2000 - vertical (large paper) with two months for each photo. Back then I was not adding captions for each month.
The older scanner quality is also evident. At some point I hope to rescan these images with more up-to-date equipment.
There is an interesting comment about the rarity of daylight sightings of Barred Owls in Stanley Park - in the years that followed I found many owls and their families.
Also of note is that the Great Blue Herons now have a large colony near the Park Board office.
January and February - Pileated Woodpeckers
March and April - Great Blue Heron Colony
May and June - Mute Swan with cygnet
July and August - Bald Eagle nest
September and October - Red-breasted Sapsucker
November and December - Barred Owl
