Last year started off with owls – lots of Snowy Owls. After that it went a bit quiet for local wildlife photography.
So it was looking like a tough year for calendar shots – calling for a trip to Jasper National Park – always rewarding. A trip to see family in Nova Scotia was also rewarded by sightings of bird species rarely seen in British Columbia.

Finally, the year is ended with the return of Snowy and Short-eared Owls.
